16 weeks!

I thought I'd start keeping track of a few things along the way...

How big is baby?
Baby is the size of an avocado, with an average size of 4.6 inches, 3.5 ounces.

Movement?
I've started feeling movement in the last week. It started in the evenings, but now happens during the day too.
Cravings?
Arby's. Actually just roast beef, to be specific. I made an amazing french dip for dinner tonight, complete with Au Jus. Yum!
Sleep?
Improving. I got a wonderful pillow for my birthday to help with the lack of sleep I've been experiencing. It's a C-shaped body pillow that takes up (over) half of the bed. I was thoroughly entertained by the information on how to use it, especially the pictures of the elderly woman. I do love the variety of uses for this lovely pillow.

Accomplishments of the week?
I ran a Halloween 5k with a friend (photos to come) and a 9-mile long run the next day in preparation for my half marathon at the end of November. Running for two is a lot harder than running for one. I have figured out what I will be wearing to the race. On my shirt.
Too cheesy?

14 weeks!

It's getting harder to hide the belly!
I had another ultrasound. This one looks even more detailed. Here's a profile picture of the baby's head. The white outline is the jaw bone.
Harder to see, but I believe this one is a front view of the face. The dark spots are eye sockets, white is the jaw bone, and just below are the shoulders and an arm. I could be completely wrong, though.
Sucking its thumb for me. Or maybe its foot. I'm not too sure.
Another head profile shot.
Back view of the spine, ribs, and pelvis.

This time, the baby was being a gymnast, jumping from the bottom to the top, and not letting us get a good picture!   :)

Baby likes to dance!

Our baby is measuring on target, heart rate is 171 beats per minute. At one point, it showed us how well it can reach its mouth and suck its thumb already. So talented!  :)

10k race

I ran the You Go Girl 10k in Tacoma on September 26th with my friend, Colleen.

At the start...
And the finish:
We finished in 1:01:21 on a nice rainy day. Thank you, ontherunevents.com for the photos!

We ran another race today - the Mud Mountain Dam 5k just outside of Enumclaw, WA. It was a trail race, full of hills, tree roots, twists, and turns. Definitely a challenge of my agility! We had a lot of fun. No rain, but the clouds blocked the view of Mt Rainier today. Official finish time: 30:20. It was a smaller race, so no pictures but totally worth the bagels and orange juice at the end.
