Happy Easter

Miles is lucky enough to celebrate Easter twice before his first birthday. Last year:

He didn't care too much for Miles the bunny this year either:

We also went to the park today. It was about 70 degrees! Miles's first experience in sand. He didn't quite know what to think.

He found a rock...

and promptly tried to eat it. Don't worry, I caught it just in time!

Love my little man.

Miles really hated the grass. We'll work on that...

He was attempting to crawl to me but couldn't figure out how to do it without touching the grass.

Done.

He did enjoy the slide.

And flying through the air.

Miles still loves balloons.

Miles really enjoys yogurt for breakfast. And a yogurt goatee.

Park

The sun came out today, so Miles and I headed to a park in Federal Way. Steel Lake Park, to be exact. It was a great day. Perfect weather, bright sun. Now Miles is napping - playing is a lot of work!

He loved the swing.

And the tires.

They had swings, a few slides, and a lot of things for climbing. Miles really enjoyed watching the other kids play. There were a few younger kids there (18 months-2 years), but mostly school-age kids. One little girl came up and told us how adorable Miles is. Of course I know that, but she was only 6! It was really sweet.

We met another mom and little boy while we were playing. He's just over a year older than Miles. We even exchanged numbers to get together in the future!

Steps

Miles took a step on his own a few times yesterday, and 2 steps one time. Watch out, he'll be walking in no time!

It's rainy this weekend. Hopefully it will be nice one day during the week because it's spring break! I hope to take Miles to the zoo one day this week for his birthday. If not, we'll have to do it when the weather cooperates.
